I understand.

However, the increment/decrement activities are also described as being part of the Standard Device
Behavior for shades (at least in the version 1.3 from Nov 2015).

So, has anybody given you a reason for them not being shown as available options in the
event responder or user defined action add-ons?

For me, the fact that they are not listed, while being integral part of the standard device 
behavior looks like a defect in the UI of those add-ons.
