Hi Hendrik,

there is no definition yet for a water leakage sensor in the digitalstrom system. Such a device would be of type "binary input", just like a motion detector or wind monitor [1]. A new sensorFunction Id should be defined. For the time being you may use sensorFunction Id "0", the generic input function.

Betreff: [dss-developer] Which sensorType for water leakage sensor?

Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a connector between SmartThings and my local Digitalstrom installation. I'm syncing my sensors in SmartThings world to DS via plan44.
Connecting Motion- , Temperature- , Contact sensor etc work out fine, yet trying to add my water leakage sensors as well I'm struggle to figure out the appropriate sensor type for this in DS.

According to vDC-API-properties doc (https://developer.digitalstrom.org/Architecture/vDC-API-properties.pdf, page 21) there is type 27 and 28 but they don't make sense to be used for this purpose from my point of view.
sensorType 27 : Water Quantity in l
28 : Water Flow Rate in l/s

Which sensor type would be most appropriate to be used/defined in DS world for an indoor water leakage sensor?

Thanks for your support
Hendrik
